EARLY LIFE: As the only child of Yvon and Odette Deuxfort, Kazmont grew up in the South Shroud. Though a Duskwight family, they lived in an atypical Duskwight manner; being the owners of Monoa Hostelry, they did not entirely seclude themselves from the city as other Duskwights would do so. When it was discovered by Wood Wailers that the tavern was being used to hold meetings by the Redbelly Wasps, the Deuxfort’s were forced to relinquish the land- which was then handed over to ex-sentry Buscarron and renamed to Buscarron’s Druthers.
TEENAGE LIFE: With his parents jailed for conspiracy, teenage Kazmont was entrusted to Rolandaix, a Gelmorran historian studying the remaining landmarks of the lost society, who ensured the young boy did not go homeless or uncared for, it was through Rolandaix's studies that Kazmont learned a new appreciation for his heritage, and decided that he wished to see the underground restored and inhabitated again.
ADULT LIFE: Kazmont stayed with Rolandaix until chosing to live an independent life at age 19, managing to secure himself a home to the north of Quarrymill. The house would serve as both his living space and working quarters as he set up shop as an alternative medical practicioner, for those who wish to refrain from using Gridanian chirurgeons. As an illegal and unqualified physician, Kazmont offered his services to help the injured Duskwights and Keepers of the Moon; particularly finding custom with Redbelly Wasps, Ceourlclaws, and those who would rather their medicinal predicaments remain undocumented. It was through his work that he met his partner, Foulques, who came to his door regularly requiring stitches and painkillers due to irresponsibile lancing techniques.
REDBELLY WASPS: As his parents were supporters of the Hive, though not officially members, Kazmont grew up knowing various members of the group; most notably the leader, Severaint, who upon learning that injured Redbellies would seek treatment from him, encouraged him to become a member of the gang. Though he doesn't partake in much of the groups activity, members know where to find him should they require any stitches.
SCIONS OF THE SEVENTH DAWN: When young, Kazmont had dreamed of a violent sky of falling stars amongst a burning red sky; an Echo vision, he would later learn. His parents instructed him to not speak of it to anybody else, as they feared he would be heralded poorly and seen as a bad omen that another calamity would occur. He did not experience many echo visions after his initial awakening to the power, until he met Yda and Papalymo in the Twelveswood; in which helping them led to his introduction to Minfilia Warde, and to him signing up as a member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Kazmont thought that his role within the Scions would be an apt cover for his conspiracy against Gridanian rule; aiming to restore Gelmorran society to what it once was, so that the Duskwights of the shroud no longer suffer the prejudices of Gridania.
WARRIOR OF LIGHT: Kazmont worked as a Scion for several years before the Warrior of Light came to Eorzea; he had met them several times but saw no promise of collaboration in the Warrior, as they seemed too interested in the threat of Primals and Garleans than the more domestic threats that the Duskwights and Keepers faced. Kazmont learned through his partner Foulques that The Warrior had joined the lancers’ guild in Gridania. Kazmont did not think much of this, but was displeased by the interest that Foulques had in their capabilities; knowing his partner to be an eccentric and impulsive person, he feared that his continued involvement with them would lead to another arrest. Kazmont is not entirely sure what the order of events with the lancers’ guild were, but he knew the culmination of the affairs led to a duel between his partner and the Warrior of Light, resulting in Foulques falling to his death.

Relationships

FOULQUES Kazmont first met Foulques when he showed up at his surgery, requiring stitches after getting stabbed by his own lance whilst hunting boar; an accident that Foulques kept a secret from Kazmont until months later. Kazmont was infatuated with him almost instantly, finding his eccentricities charming and his passion for the lancing art endearing.REDBELLY WASPS Members of the Hive are viewed highly by Kazmont. He has an appreciation for their operations in the South Shroud, and believes their disruption of Gridanian commerce in the area is a necessary evil; it doesn't offer much in terms of reperations for the abuse Duskwights endure, but it is a start.

WARRIOR OF LIGHT As a Scion, Kazmont had met the Warrior on several occassions, though did not give them much thought. After the Warrior's duel with Foulques led to his partner's death, Kazmont has no time for the hero; and he prays for both their sake, he will not be left alone with them.PADJAL Kazmont does not care for the elementals, despite being scared of them. He thinks the reverence for Padjal is unnecessary, believing that elementals should not be communicated with; that the people should return to the caves of Gelmorra to live under their own terms.

Hooks

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE Though he is more inclined to help duskwights, keepers of the moon, and those shunned by Gridania. Kaz could be convinced to help those from outside the Shroud.GELMORRA If you have information on, or interest in, the lost civilisation of Gelmorra, Kazmont is someone to approach on the matter.SCIONS Kazmont is a member of the scions, you may have seen him around the Rising Stones.GRIDANIANS There have been growing suspicions amongst the authorities in the Shroud that Redbelly Wasps are planning attacks upon Gridania, perhaps you should question the Duskwight who speaks of Kan-E-Senna with such animosity.
